Aanii—Chanel Pine from Garden River First Nation. I am pleased to have the opportunity to connect and collaborate. I am a recent graduate of the Digital Media Graphic Design program at Sault College.

 

My interest in graphic design developed from a passion for art during high school, where I was drawn to expressing ideas organically through colour, shape, and elements inspired by the natural environment. Although art began as a personal interest, I recognized its potential to become a meaningful career.

 

In 2024, I enrolled in the program with a strong desire to grow and expand my skills, particularly in transitioning my work from traditional, paper-based formats into digital media—an evolution that I found both challenging and exciting.

Design, to me, is the way elements, colour, and visuals come together to communicate a meaningful story. It’s about thoughtfully shaping how something is presented or advertised so that it connects with people in a clear and intentional way.
